Melanoma Screening
We offer a same-day full body screening for Melanoma. We encourage anyone coming in to have a mole, lump, growth that they're concerned about to come and have it examined. Melanoma can be undetected for years. Most people that are diagnosed and treated at an early stage will have a high chance of survival.
Our clinic is set up so there's no waiting time greater than the day you visit.

Skin Biopsies
Skin biopsies can be taken when appropriate. We send all of our testing to Dynacare and call patients the same day that results arrive, regardless of 'good' or 'bad' news. Test results can take up to 6 weeks, or longer dependent on the circumstance.
Culture
Cultures can be taken when appropriate. We do testing of: toenails, hair clippings, skin swabs for fungal infections, Samples are sent to LifeLabs, and patients are notified of results the same day that they arrive, regardless of 'good' or 'bad' news. Test results can take up to 6 weeks, or longer, dependent on the circumstance.
Basal Cell Carcinoma / Squamous Cell Carcinoma / Keratoacanthoma treatment
The following skin cancers can be treated the same day via an electrodessication treatment and curettage. Patients will not have to wait months to be treated or seen by other specialists. However, referrals are made to plastic surgeons or surrounding hospitals (Sunnybrook, St. Joseph's) at the patient's discretion.
Warts
We treat warts by using liquid nitrogen applied with a cotton-tipped applicator. There is little-to-no pain associated with the treatment. Often times, patients will return every 2-3 weeks for treatments until the warts resolve.
